Ignorance of the rules does not exempt you from liability. By playing on HL2GO servers, joining our Discord, or buying/earning in-game privileges (VIP, Admin, SpecAdmin, H2coin, rewards, and similar), you agree to these rules and the Terms of Service.
Privilege revocation. If you break these rules or abuse purchased or earned privileges, HL2GO may suspend, demote, or permanently remove any VIP / Admin / SpecAdmin / related access — including paid and rewards-granted privileges — without prior warning and without refund.
Gameplay recording. Selected servers may record short gameplay clips around moderation actions (kick/ban/slay and similar) for abuse investigation and appeals. Clips are retained for a limited time. Staff review them for appeals; signed download links may be shared in Discord #ban-appeals for that appeal only — demos are not posted as public attachments.
1. General player rules
- Do not use cheats, hacks, exploits, or other restricted tools.
- Do not harass, insult, or discriminate against other players. Keep nicknames free of obscene content.
- Respect server staff, admins, and VIP players.
- Report rule-breakers and server bugs to staff instead of escalating conflict yourself.
- Do not spam voice chat, play music through the microphone, or flood text chat.
- Do not advertise other servers or competing projects.
- Follow mode-specific rules (Zombie Mod, Dust2, BaseBuilder, etc.) published on Discord and in-game.
2. Responsibilities if you have VIP / Admin / SpecAdmin
Paid or earned privileges are a license to access features on our servers, not ownership. You must:
- Follow all general player rules.
- Not abuse privilege tools (admin chat/HUD, mute/ban/slay/grab, map votes, bots, build tools, etc.).
- Not share privilege passwords or account access with others — sharing may result in immediate deletion of the privilege.
- Not impersonate other admins/VIPs when warning or punishing players.
- Not advertise other servers/projects while using privileged chat or commands.
- Use moderation powers proportionally (e.g. mute before ban for first-time swearing where applicable).
- Not change maps abusively (respect vote/time limits; do not force nonsense votes).
- Report other privileged players who abuse tools to HL2GO administration (with proof when possible).
3. What we may remove without warning
- Any purchased store privilege (VIP, Admin, SpecAdmin, extensions).
- Any privilege obtained via Rewards / GO Credits / Discord invites / promotions.
- Discord roles tied to shop privileges (Verified / VIP / Admin / SpecAdmin sync).
- Related Shop account services may be suspended for serious or repeated abuse.
Removal for rule-breaking or privilege abuse is not eligible for a refund. Chargebacks after abuse may lead to permanent bans from HL2GO services.
4. Mode-specific & Discord rules
Detailed per-server rules (ZM reconnect, Dust2 camping, BaseBuilder layers, ban durations, Discord channel etiquette, etc.) are published in our Discord channels and remain binding. When Discord rules and this page both apply, staff enforce the stricter reasonable interpretation for fair play.

5. Ban appeals
Ban appeals: submit at hl2go.com/appeal/ (login required; Steam or the same IPv4 as the ban). Evidence demos from the ban are attached automatically when available and reviewed by staff in Discord #ban-appeals. Privilege removals for confirmed abuse are generally final.
