Platform Update — Rewards, Discord Invites & GO Credits Events
Today we rolled out a full wave of community features around GO Credits — earning them, winning them, and using them. This post is the short tour of what’s live now.

Rewards — earn GO Credits for free
On /rewards/ you can earn credits without paying cash, then spend them in the store on VIP, Admin, SpecAdmin, Unban, and more.
- Daily login streak — open Rewards once a day; after 7 days in a row, claim 15 credits
- Playtime — link Steam, play on our servers, claim for tracked HLStats time (1 credit / 12 min, daily cap)
- Discord invites — link Discord, share your personal invite; after the friend stays through the grace period, claim 5 credits per invite
- Giveaways — if you win a Discord GO Credits event, claim the prize here (credits are not added automatically)
Ready amounts are listed at the top with a Claim all button, plus separate claim buttons per source. Your balance only goes up after you claim.
Discord invites
Grow the community and get paid in credits. Generate your invite from Rewards after linking Discord. Invites that leave during the grace window don’t count; after a successful claim, those credits stay.
GO Credits Events (Discord + web)
We run timed GO Credits giveaways in Discord. You can:
- Enter from Discord (reaction / channel flow), or
- Join from the website on the new public Events page — and from My account when something is live
When a giveaway is running, the main nav shows a flashing green LIVE badge on Events so you don’t miss it. In-game servers also get a short RCON announce pointing players to hl2go.com.
Winners with Discord linked (and an email on the account) get a Discord DM and an email with a direct link to claim on Rewards.
Account & store polish
- My account highlights live events and your services, with a clear Extend path in the store
- Checkout still supports card / PayPal or paying fully with GO Credits when you have enough
- If a paid service is about to expire (3 days left), we email a reminder with an Extend link so access doesn’t drop by surprise
Discord community
We cleaned up unused channels, refreshed the rules, and tightened membership screening so new members agree before joining. Roles layout is clearer (including the Bots group). Same Discord — less noise, easier to find giveaways and help.
How to jump in
- Log in / register and verify your email
- Open /rewards/ daily (streak counts on visit)
- Link Steam and/or Discord under My account
- Watch /events/ (and the LIVE badge) for giveaways
- Claim credits → spend them in Services
