ZP Models

Even though this has been going on for a while, I want to make sure that we've also posted it here and perhaps get a few responses from everyone else.

So, ZP in general is always a mod that has plenty of models for zombies. In our case, our classic zombie model (image 1) is not accurate to the hitbox, as well as the nemesis model (image 2). Having this in mind, I will point out a model that hasn't got any such problems in the jump zombie model, where you can clearly see where the head is and when shooting at the head, you land headshots (opposite to classic zombie and nemesis, although big zombie has this issue as well but not to as large of an extent). In the case of the classic zombie model, you need to shoot above the head to hit a headshot, whereas in the nemesis case, you need to shoot below where the head of the model to land a headshot, thus both models being inaccurate to the hitbox.

You may then ask, how do we fix this? Well, easy as pie, it is about changing the model being used to one that is more accurate. Now, this is done very easily from our side, but knowing how pretentious the players are, I believe the best option would be that you, as the players, post suggestions for the models and I can put on a poll with all models included. As a starting point, I will present a few as to showcase what I've been looking at and waiting to see if you guys have any better ones as well.

Now, I am biased towards these models myself and I will explain further down below each image as to why I have chosen said models, do keep in mind I don't care what model goes for a particular zombie class as long as it is accurate to the hitbox and is somewhat fitting of the setting of a zombie plague mod (as in, there are zombie models made out of cigarette packs, obviously that is... well, not a zombie).

Proposal 1:

This model (not made by me ofcourse, I don't make any models at all) has some shaking animations, perhaps what a rabid, infection rampaging zombie would do, model is accurate to hitbox but I would say too small to be used for a nemesis per say (in my opinion, ultimately, it will be a poll deciding what we go for).

Proposal 2:

This is just the classic model by default of any ZP mod when installed, hencewhy I have included it here.

Proposal 3:

This model has the same animations as proposal 1, just a different model.

Now, onto you, if you guys have any other models you've had your eyes on and would be better than the current ones, send some screenshots in this thread as comments.

MixerFixer ples once decided, add whatever models we chose to fastDL, mucho ples.

Hey pompa.

I agree 100 % with your propose, that zombie lady which are now, is to bad I think.

For the Clot, I would say we'd need to see if it has only 1 port over to 1.6. The one I've seen before acts exactly the same as the Husk (our current 
nemesis) one. Has no ducking animation (like the nemesis) and when it dies it performs the animation in Killing Floor where they eat on corpses. So, in case there is a model for the Clot that does have a ducking animation and properly represents the hitbox, should be fine.

And the other model I have never tested myself, but it does look better than the current one as in functionality.

Just to note: My private ZP where I play with bots, I use the current big zombie model as the nemesis as most mods I had seen prior were using that, so little bits of nostalgia, same with with the very classic model I had put up below.

I'll wait until we reach like 10 models, as the maximum poll options are 10 and then I'll set up a poll with all models included so we can decide from there. Although I might split up the normal zombie vote and the nemesis vote. I'll have to see how it goes when it comes to how many people post their own suggestions. For the moment evne the Clot is in the running, until further testing from my part.

I haven't tested your mummy one, I have used previously a different mummy model though (and still do).
The 2nd and 3rd zombies you propose do not have a crouching (duck) animation (like the nemesis we have right now), so it is harder for you to hit the head.
